Oman Embassy in Netherlands organises meeting with business owners

Muscat: The Embassy of the Sultanate of Oman in The Hague, in cooperation with the Ministry of Trade, Industry and Investment Promotion, the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, and the Netherlands Company (HCLA), organized the fourth consultative meeting with business owners, in order to find out what distinguishes the Sultanate in terms of attractive investment incentives.

 His Excellency Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Salem bin Hamad Al Harithi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, opened the meeting session, in which about fifteen companies specialized in urban development and real estate development participated, with a speech in which he touched on investment horizons and opportunities in Oman, focusing on Oman Vision 2040 as the ambitious strategic plan, which would bring about qualitative transformations in all areas of life, especially economic ones.

 His Excellency stressed Oman’s firm commitment to innovation, sustainability and comprehensive growth, which represent the cornerstone of economic, urban and social planning in Oman, and determine the paths of progress, sustainability and the development of smart cities supported by the latest means of technology.

Ammar bin Sulaiman Al Kharousi, CEO of the “Invest Platform” in Oman, presented the following: The main platform for marketing investment in the Sultanate of Oman - supervised by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion - a strategic roadmap for potential investors, to benefit from the thriving urban development sector in the Sultanate of Oman, and addresses the opportunities available to foreign investors and how to benefit from them and seize them, and the ease of procedures pursued by the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion in dealing with investors.

 Engineer Ibrahim bin Hamoud Al-Waeli, Executive Director of Urban Strategy at the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, touched on the initiatives provided by his ministry to achieve plans for ongoing urban development initiatives in Oman.

He presented the ambitious urban projects in the country and the promising investment opportunities they offer. He also focused on the possibility of achieving profitable returns.

He stressed Oman's firm commitment to sustainable urbanization and comprehensive growth, and existing projects such as Sultan Haitham City, Jabal Al Akhdar, Nizwa, Salalah, Al Khuwair Downtown, and Sohar.

 Dr. Ali Al-Marousi, founder of HCLA, discussed the legislative and legal measures and the favorable investment climate in the Sultanate of Oman, which would stimulate foreign investors, stressing the political and economic stability that characterizes the Sultanate of Oman.
