Oman Forum explores role of private sector to achieve SDGs

Muscat: The 12th edition of Oman Forum, held on Monday in Muscat, discussed the role of the private sector in achieving the sustainable development goals (SDGs).

The event was held under the patronage of HH Sayyid Faris Fatik Al Said.

Oman Forum was organised by “Alam Al Iktisaad Wal A’mal” or “The World of Economy and Business” magazine with support from the Ministry of Commerce, Industry and Investment Promotion, the Environment Authority and several private sector companies.

This edition of the forum explored the Sultanate of Oman’s efforts to boost its competitive edge to integrate with the global economy and to undertake an active role in global trade in a bid to achieve a comprehensive and sustainable development.

Working papers were presented during the event and several discussion panels were held.

Moreover, pioneering and leading initiatives in the sustainability field were facilitated during the event. Those initiatives covered various humanitarian, social, economic and environmental fields.
