Jalan Bani Bu Ali: The coastal areas of the Wilayat of Jalan Bani Bu Ali in the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate are witnessing active tourism activity with the beginning of summer season and the influx of visitors from inside and outside the Sultanate of Oman.
These areas are characterised by 'moderate weather' and low temperatures.
This year's summer tourism season is accompanied by continuous efforts to enhance the natural capabilities of tourist destinations and implement various tourism projects, services and events.
Sheikh Mohammed bin Humaid Al-Ghabshi, Governor of Jalan Bani Bu Ali, explained that a number of development projects will contribute to enhancing the summer tourism activities in the state.
He said that officials are working to provide suitable places for tourists, notably the waterfronts of the Asilah region and the Haddah region, paving the commercial and coastal road to the Asilah region, and maintaining and developing Al-Ashkharah Park in addition to installing and maintaining a number of lighting poles for coastal roads.
He added that the activities of the “Al Ashkharah Atmosphere Forum” will start this year in its second edition on 10 July and continue until 31 July for a period of 21 days in the Al Ashkharah Public Park.
He pointed out that the activities of the Al Ashkharah Atmosphere Forum will witness a number of diverse activities and programs in the entertainment, cultural, artistic and sports aspects.
This forum will also be accompanied by the establishment of an integrated heritage village, and a corner for small and medium enterprises with the participation of more than 40 entrepreneurs, in addition to the activities of the speed challenge for cars, horse sports and a number of events from plays, chanting and poetry evenings, and electrical and digital games for children and youth.
He explained that there are a number of beach parks overlooking the coastal strip of the Arabian Sea, which are an outlet for everyone and a suitable place for tourists, preserving the aesthetics of the beach environment and providing opportunities for entertainment, relaxation and enjoying the beautiful atmosphere.
These are parks and the beach rest areas extending along the coastal strip.
He stated that hotel establishments and resorts in all states of the South Al Sharqiyah Governorate are preparing to receive summer tourist traffic, which numbers more than 146 establishments and provides more than 1,634 hotel rooms.
