Muscat: The number of visitors to Dhofar Khareef since the beginning of the season until the end of August 2024 amounted to about 1.6635 million, an increase of 9 percent compared to the last season in 2023, when 924,127 tourists visited.
The estimated statistics issued by the National Centre for Statistics and Information showed that the number of Omani visitors increased by 8.7 percent, recording 713,105 people , while the number of visitors from the Gulf Cooperation Council countries amounted to 171,762 compared to 156,953 during the same period in 2023. The number of visitors from other nationalities amounted to 121,767 compared to 111,055 visitors last year.
The number of visitors arriving through land ports reached 786,107 until the end of August, and 220,528 visitors via air travel, an increase of 5.2 percent compared to those arriving via air route during the same period in 2023. It is noteworthy that August recorded 59 percent of the total fall visitors this year.
