Muscat: His Highness Sayyid Theyazin bin Haitham Al Said, Minister of Culture, Sports and Youth, held a meeting at his residence in Muscat today with Roman Golovchenko, Prime Minister of the Republic of Belarus.
During the meeting, HH Sayyid Theyazin conveyed the greetings of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik to Aleksandr Lukashenko, President of the Republic of Belarus, along with His Majesty’s wishes of good health and happiness to the President. He also conveyed His Majesty the Sultan’s wishes of steady progress and stability for the friendly people of Belarus.
For his part, PM Roman Golovchenko asked HH Sayyid Theyazin to convey the greetings and sincere sentiments of President Lukashenko to His Majesty Sultan Haitham wishing him good health and wellbeing. He also conveyed President Lukashenko’s wishes of further progress and prosperity for the Omani people.
During the meeting, HH Sayyid Theyazin and PM Roman Golovchenko reviewed various aspects of relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Belarus. They discussed means of expanding the scope of bilateral relations in various fields to better serve the interests of the two friendly countries. The meeting also dealt with matters of common concern.
The meeting was attended by Dr. Saud Hamoud Al Habsi, Minister of Agriculture, Fisheries and Water Resources,(Head of the Honorary Mission), and Hamoud Salim Al Tuwaih, the Sultanate of Oman’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation and its Non-Resident Ambassador to the Republic of Belarus.
The meeting was also attended the Belarusian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and the Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus accredited to the Sultanate of Oman.
