Abdullah Al Shaksy named Times Entrepreneur of the Year

Muscat: Abdullah Al Shaksy, Co-founder and CEO of Phaze Ventures, Oman’s first private venture capital firm, was honoured with the prestigious Times Entrepreneur of the Year award at the recent Times Business Leadership Summit held at The St. Regis Al Mouj Muscat.

Al Shaksy has been instrumental in advancing Oman’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.

Through strategic early-stage investments and active board leadership, he has supported numerous emerging founders, both within Oman and internationally.

Beyond investments, he has enriched the ecosystem by launching and supporting various startup initiatives, scholarship programmes focused on technology and entrepreneurship, and mentoring young innovators as a lecturer in entrepreneurship programmes.

The award was presented to Al Shaksy by His Excellency Qais bin Mohammed Al Yousef, Minister of Commerce, Industry, and Investment Promotion, during a glittering ceremony that celebrated leaders shaping Oman’s business landscape.
