Ministry of Education implements training programme in designing interactive digital lessons

Muscat: The Ministry of Education, represented by the Directorate-General of Curriculum Development, is implementing the training programme for designing interactive digital lessons using the iSpring Suite programme. The programme targets 25 employees who specialize in e-learning and is taking place at the Specialized Institute for Vocational Training for Teachers.

During the training programme, participants learn about planning to create interactive digital lessons, creating an interactive digital lesson template, by providing them with a set of knowledge related to create interactive digital lessons, learning strategies, and their benefits for the teacher and student, theoretical knowledge of educational content design, and the principles that are considered in designing e-learning content.

Participants also are trained on building interactive slides, recording and editing presentations, through a set of method of designing interactive slides, choosing the appropriate slides for each topic, recording and editing presentations, and kinetic and written effects. Trainees also apply the skills of creating interactive conversations, how to build a scenario between two people, and convert it to the program to become interactive, attractive, and eye-catching interaction to the learner.

This training programme aims to train participants to design digital lessons using digital programmes, tools and interactive technologies to create an exciting and dynamic learning environment; it enables them to design interactive digital lessons and diversify the methods of presenting information, which contributes to meeting the different needs of learners and enhancing a deep understanding of the content.

This field of education opens new horizons for the application of blended learning and distance learning, making education available and flexible for all. Digital education is characterised by its ability to integrate multimedia, such as: videos, illustrations, tests and interactive classroom activities, which enhances student participation and motivates them to interact more with scientific material.
