Muscat: UNICEF Oman, in collaboration with key government counterparts, private sector leaders, civil society organisations, and children, is developing its new Country Programme Document (CPD) for 2026-2030. This CPD aligns with national priorities and aims to create a brighter future for every child in Oman.
To initiate this process, UNICEF Oman, in partnership with the Omani Foreign Ministry, convened a high-level government meeting under the patronage of H.E. Sheikh Khalifa bin Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry. The meeting brought together senior officials from various ministries, including Social Development, Health, Education, Finance, Economy, Endowment and Religious Affairs, Social Protection Funds, and the Omani Human Rights Commission.
This high-level meeting, along with several bilateral discussions with cross-sectoral counterparts and the Regional Director's visit, represents a significant step in UNICEF's ongoing collaboration with the Government of Oman and partners. The collective goal is to address the challenges and opportunities facing children and families across the Sultanate and create a supportive and nurturing environment where all children can thrive, contributing to the nation's long-term prosperity.
