Muscat: The board of directors ofOman Authority for Academic Accreditation and Quality Assurance of Education(OAAAQA) today held its 5ht meeting for the year (2024). The meeting was chaired by Dr. Rahma Ibrahim Al Mahrouqi, Chairperson of the Authority’s board of directors, in the presence of Dr. Jokha Abdullah Al Shukaili, CEO of the Authority.
The meeting discussed the Authority’s 2025 agenda on the disclosure of conflicts of interest within higher education institutions as a means to ensure quality. Then, it looked into the board of directors’ 2024 self-assessment report.
The board of directors discussed the Authority’s action plan for implementing recommendations that emanated from a pilot visit by a team entrusted with a “project to award Oman recognition from the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE)”.
The board also endorsed the outcome of a report to include a number of qualifications into the National Qualifications Framework.
The meeting reviewed the final report on a scheduled launch ceremony of the “National System for Evaluating School Performance”.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the board reviewed the Authority’s annual plan for the year 2025.
