Muscat: The "Experience South Al Batinah" Forum for 2025 will take place from January 8 to 31 in Khabat Al Qadan, Wilayat of Nakhal. The forum aims to boost tourism and cultural promotion in the governorate by offering a diverse range of events designed to attract both domestic and international visitors. The ultimate goal is to establish South Al Batinah as a premier tourist destination.
Key Features:
Sporting Events: Modified car races in a sandy environment, sand bike experiences, horse and camel competitions, paragliding, and a traditional shooting competition in Wilayat of Al Awabi and marine competitions in the Wilayat of Al Musannah.
Entertainment: Beach and popular games, a heritage village showcasing traditional life, daily theater performances (including concerts, circus shows, and magic tricks), a promotional exhibition of the governorate's achievements, electronic games, virtual reality platforms, laser shows, and modified car displays.
Focus on Heritage and Development: The forum is designed not only as entertainment but also as an integrated platform to revive heritage, support local sectors, and promote tourism as a driver of sustainable development.
New Mobile Application: Concurrently with the forum, a new smartphone application called "Mujab" will be launched. This app will provide access to the governorate's electronic services and offer updates on the "Experience South Al Batinah" events.
His Excellency Eng. Masoud bin Saeed Al Hashimi, Governor of South Al Batinah, emphasized that the forum presents an opportunity to elevate the governorate's position as a leading tourist and cultural center in Oman, showcasing its natural, cultural, and economic assets.
