Conference on governance begins in South Al Sharqiyah

Sur: The Ministry of Labour on Sunday inaugurated a conference on the role of governance in strategic planning and future foresight in the Wilayat of Sur, the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah.

The two-day event brings together several speakers from Oman and beyond.

The conference addresses strategic planning as a means to achieve sustainable development, enhance transparency, address risk governance and manage change.

The conference’s programme includes panel discussions on public-private sector integration, presentations of successful governance models, and the role of artificial intelligence in decision-making and data analysis.

The opening ceremony of the conference was held under the auspices of Sheikh Dr. Hilal Ali Al Habsi, Wali of Sur.
