Ibri: Al Dhahirah Governorate’s Second Media Forum kicked off on Sunday under the slogan "Media of the Future: Impact and Technology".
The three-day forum is organised by Al Dhahirah Governorate’s Office.
Najeeb Ali Al Rawas, Governor of Al Dhahirah and chief guest at the event, delivered a speech in which he underscored the role of the media in supporting local development in Al Dhahirah Governorate.
He pointed out that the media also enhances partnership between service institutions and the local community, enabling all to establish effective channels of communication and community-enhanced decision making.
The forum seeks to build media capacities and spread media culture in the Governorate through training sessions run by experts and specialists in the field of media. It lays emphasis on developing innovative media skills for a better exposure aimed to improve performance.
