Muscat: The joint committees of the State Council and the Shura Council on Tuesday held a meeting to discuss the articles of dispute in draft laws.
Referred for discussion by the Council of Ministers, the disputed bills were those on "Regulating the transfer and transplantation of human organs and tissues", "Public health" and "Electronic transactions".
The two councils disputed 26 articles in the draft law regulating the transfer and transplantation of human organs and tissues, 18 articles in the draft public health law and 19 articles in the draft law on electronic transactions.
The committees reached a consensus on all the articles of disagreement between the two councils. They will submit their report for discussion in the joint session between the State Council and the Shura Council.
