Muscat: His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik gave an audience this morning at Al Barakah Palace to Saqr Ghobash, Speaker of the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The Speaker of the Federal National Council conveyed to His Majesty the Sultan the greetings and best wishes of Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates.
Further, His Majesty the Sultan asked the Speaker to convey his heartfelt sentiments to the President of the UAE.
During the audience, areas of existing cooperation between the two countries were highlighted, especially in relation to parliamentary councils and means of developing the action system in this field. This aims to serve the national plans and visions of the two countries and realize the aspirations of the two countries’ peoples.
The reception was attended by Khalid Hilal Al Maawali, Chairman of the Shura Council and Mohammed Nakhira Al Dhaheri, Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Sultanate of Oman.
