Davos: The Sultanate of Oman's pavilion at the World Economic Forum (WEF), currently being held in Davos, Switzerland, was opened on Monday in the presence of representatives of countries, institutions, international figures and Oman's delegation to the WEF.
Dr. Said Mohammed Al Saqri, Minister of Economy (Head of the Sultanate of Oman’s delegation to the WEF), said in a speech during the opening ceremony that Oman’s participation in the WEF reflects its active role in strengthening the bonds of international cooperation and commitment to find sustainable solutions to address global challenges and to lead sustainable growth.
Al Saqri explained that the opening of the pavilion underlines the growing relationship between the Government of the Sultanate of Oman and the World Economic Forum.
This relationship, he added, contributes to enhancing innovative visions to achieve sustainable development and to provide an arena for showcasing the economic vision of the Sultanate of Oman and the country’s developmental accomplishments.
The first day of the WEF saw a significant turnout of investors who thronged Oman’s pavilion, leading to a series of meetings among an elite group of investors and leading global companies.
