Sayyid Badr receives Yemeni Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates

Muscat: Sayyid Badr Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister on Wednesday received Dr. Shaya Mohsin Zindani, Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Republic of Yemen.

During the meeting, the two sides underscored the depth of fraternal relations between Oman and Yemen. They also underlined the two countries’ keenness to enhance cooperation in various fields that serve joint interests.

The two ministers exchanged views on several regional and international issues of mutual concern, namely developments related to the Yemeni crises and the efforts exerted to achieve peace and stability in Yemen.

Sayyid Badr reiterated Oman’s constant backing of peaceful efforts in Yemen. He also underscored the importance of dialogue and negotiations as a means to achieve sustainable solutions and to end the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people.

On his turn, the Yemeni minister expressed his appreciation for the efforts of the Sultanate of Oman in backing the stability of Yemen and its continuous support of the Yemeni people. He also lauded the positive Omani role in aligning views between Yemeni parties and supporting international and regional efforts to achieve peace.

The meeting was attended by several officials from both sides.
