Al Buraimi: The First Arab Forum for Tourism and Investment explores means of enhancing tourism investments in Arab countries. It also focuses on highlighting economic and tourism components in the Sultanate of Oman.
The two-day event is organised by the Governorate of Al Buraimi in cooperation with Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry’s branch in Al Buraimi.
The opening ceremony was held under the auspices of Dr. Abdullah Nasser Al Harrasi, Minister of Information.
Sayyid Dr. Hamad Ahmed Al Busaidi, Governor of Al Buraimi said in his speech that the forum constitutes an opportunity to augment Arab cooperation in the fields of tourism and investment.
The Governorate of Al Buraimi, he added, has promising economic and tourism components that position it as a strategic gateway between Oman and the GCC states.
Two discussion panels were held during the first day of the forum. The first touched on means of developing and managing tourism destinations while the second panel reviewed the role of regional integration in achieving tourism integration.
