Gang of three arrested for organised theft in Muscat

Muscat: The Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigations has apprehended a gang of three Pakistani nationals who were involved in organised theft in the Maabela and Azaiba areas of Muscat Governorate. These arrests were made following a period of extensive monitoring and tracking by the authorities.

The Royal Oman Police (ROP) stated that the gang was caught stealing significant amounts of money from several companies and commercial establishments, and they were working in collaboration with a resident business partner. During the police operation, the tools used to commit the crimes and some of the stolen items were recovered.

The ROP further added that legal procedures are currently underway as the authorities finalise their investigation into the matter.
