Oman's pavilion at Osaka aims to create a dynamic space for meaningful cultural exchange

Muscat: All eyes will be on Osaka tomorrow as the city officially announces the start of Expo 2025, which will be hosted in the Japanese city from April 13 to October 13, 2025, under the theme "Designing Future Societies for Our Lives." Over 155 countries, including Oman, will participate in this global event.

Oman's contribution to Expo 2025 Osaka will centre around its pavilion themed "Oman - Extended Links."

The pavilion will focus on water, land, and humanity, featuring more than 33 events that highlight key aspects such as communication and interaction, tourism, investment opportunities, cultural identity, and international relations and partnerships.

The General Commission of Oman's pavilion aims to create a dynamic space for meaningful cultural exchange between Oman and the world. It seeks to bring people closer together, fostering new partnerships and innovative ideas for a brighter future. The visitor experience is designed to be interactive and sensory-driven, inspiring guests with Oman’s tourism potential and investment opportunities.

Expo 2025 is an international exhibition that unites people and innovations from across the globe under one umbrella, addressing global challenges facing humanity. It aspires to unify diverse cultures and establish an ideal future society through collaboration among participants to achieve sustainable development goals (SDGs). Expo 2025 emphasizes three sub-themes: sustaining life, empowering humanity, and enhancing life through connections.

As a major platform for realizing the United Nations’ SDGs by 2030, Expo 2025 Osaka is expected to attract approximately 28.2 million visitors from around the world.
