His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik left the Kingdom of the Netherlands this evening after a three-day state visit.
His Majesty was seen off at Amsterdam Airport Schiphol by Rear Admiral Ludger Brummelaar, Chief of the Military House of the King, Reinette Klever, Minister for Foreign Trade and Development and some officials in the Netherlands.
Upon his departure, His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik sent a cable of thanks to King Willem-Alexander of the Netherlands and his spouse Queen Máxima.
In the cable, His Majesty expressed his sincere appreciation for the warm welcome and hospitality extended to him and the accompanying delegation.
His Majesty lauded the outcomes of his meeting with the King and the Prime Minister, as it was an opportunity to promote the relations and opening new vistas for partnership and cooperation in various spheres.
His Majesty the Sultan wished the King and the Queen permanent success to achieve further aspirations of progress and prosperity for the Dutch people.
His Majesty the Sultan was accompanied during the visit by a high-ranking official delegation comprising HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said, Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs, Sayyid Khalid bin Hilal Al Busaidi, Minister of the Diwan of Royal Court, Gen. Sultan bin Mohammed Al Nu’amani, Minister of the Royal Office, Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, Dr. Hamad bin Said Al Aufi, Head of the Private Office, Dr. Madeeha bint Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education, Abdussalam bin Mohammed Al Murshidi, Chairman of Oman Investment Authority, Eng. Salim bin Nassir Al Aufi, Minister of Energy and Minerals and Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Salim Al Harthy, Ambassador of Oman to the Netherlands.
