International praise, national engagement mark conclusion of Water Safety Forum

Muscat: The World Health Organization (WHO) has commended Oman's policies and practices in water safety, recognizing the Sultanate as a leading regional model in managing this critical sector.

WHO highlighted the pioneering efforts of the Public Services Regulation Authority in enhancing quality standards, adopting continuous training methodologies, and equipping national professionals with the latest global expertise. It also emphasized that Oman’s integration of legislative and technical frameworks is a key pillar in ensuring long-term water safety and quality, contributing to sustainable development goals related to public health and environmental protection.

Participants in the "Water Safety" Forum noted that the event provided an advanced platform for building technical competencies and expanding specialized knowledge in water safety management. They praised the comprehensive training content, interactive workshops, and rich discussions that empowered them to implement best global practices and develop well-defined strategies to address water risks and operational challenges.

Experts from WHO added significant scientific and intellectual value to the program, reinforcing the importance of continuing such ambitious national initiatives. The forum also served as an avenue for professionals to exchange experiences and successful practices across various organizations, further improving institutional efficiency and strengthening Oman's water security.

The five-day forum, organized by the Public Services Regulation Authority in collaboration with WHO, concluded today with the participation of more than 40 licensed companies operating in the water sector. The intensive training program aimed to enhance the capabilities of national professionals, ensuring their skills align with global advancements in water safety management.
