Shanghai: The Medical City for Military and Security Services today signed a cooperation agreement with JoAnn Medical Group in Shanghai, China, to enhance cooperation and coordination with health institutions in the People's Republic of China.
The agreement covers research, transfer of medical technology, development of health services and exchange of expertise and training programmes.
The agreement was signed by Brig. Dr. Abdul Malik Sulaiman Al Kharousi, Assistant Chairman of the Medical City for Supplies and Support Affairs and Joanna Jiang, CEO of JoAnn Medical Group.
The agreement enhances the Medical City's objectives by expanding its network of international partnerships and attracting the best global practices to support the City's system of healthcare for military and security services.
The signing ceremony was attended by Eng. Uday Hilal Al Maawali, Head of the Medical City for Military and Security Services, Nasser Mohammed Al Busaidi, Ambassador of the Sultanate of Oman to the People's Republic of China, senior officers from the Medical City, diplomatic staff from the embassy and a number of senior officials from JoAnn Medical Group.
A forum on the future of healthcare and strategic cooperation was held on the sidelines of the ceremony. The forum discussed the most prominent modern trends in healthcare innovation, digital transition and opportunities to boost partnerships in the healthcare sector.
