Four arrested for hunting wild animals in Dhofar

Muscat: The Environment Authority (EA) has arrested four citizens for hunting a number of wild animals in Dhofar Governorate. 

A statement issued online by EA said :" The Environment Authority in Dhofar Governorate, in cooperation with the Royal Oman Police, arrested four citizens for violating wildlife by hunting a number of wild animals. Necessary measures were taken and the offenders were referred to the competent authorities to complete legal proceedings."

" The Authority urges everyone to preserve the environment and its natural components and to adhere to environmental laws and regulations to avoid legal accountability, " the statement added.
