International Conference on Sustainable Development in Engineering and Technology at the University of Al Mussanah

Mussanah: The College of Engineering and Technology at the UTAS-Al Mussanah, in collaboration with the Research and Consultation Department, is organizing a two-day international conference titled "Sustainable Development in Engineering and Technology – ICSDET 2025" on April 30th and May 1st, 2025, in partnership with the Global College of Engineering and Technology.

The conference brings together researchers and industry experts from various fields, including Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, and Civil and Architectural Engineering to discuss the latest developments in sustainable development, exchange ideas, and share research insights in engineering and technology.

This conference provides a global platform for exchanging ideas, enhancing cooperation between academic and industrial sectors, and supporting sustainable development efforts in line with Oman Vision 2040. The conference focuses on encouraging innovation, eco-friendly practices, and strengthening resilience in engineering, to support Oman’s goals for economic diversification, environmental preservation, and knowledge-driven progress through innovation and sustainable engineering practices.

The conference focuses on sustainable development topics in engineering and technology, including innovations in data and computing technologies, communication and electronics systems, sustainable energy systems, innovations in manufacturing and mechanical engineering, and other areas aligned with Oman Vision 2040. The importance of sustainable development is emphasized to protect the environment, ensure long-term economic viability, and enhance resilience against contemporary challenges, ensuring commitment to future generations.

The conference includes over 100 research papers presenting research insights and innovations across various engineering fields. It also includes five keynote speakers to share their expertise on topics related to the conference’s objectives. The conference attracts over 300 participants from diverse academic and research backgrounds to enhance the exchange of ideas and fostering collaborative efforts.
