Algiers: A number of parliamentarians, academics, analysts and media figures of Algeria have underlined the importance of the state visit His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik today to Algeria. The visit coincides with economic and political developments at the international level and will require economic cooperation between the countries coupled with the exchange of views on political issues.
Dr. Ali Mohammed Rabiej, an academic and member of the parliament, said that the visit would have a remarkable impact on the relations between the two countries as it tackles a number of issues related between the Arab countries, including the Palestinian cause, in addition to bilateral investments and exchange of expertise between the two countries. He said that the visit would boost the partnership and would drive the joint cooperation to wider horizon.
Dr. Zuhair Bu Omama, Professor of political sciences and international relations, expressed his delight along with the people Algeria over the visit of His Majesty to Algeria. He said that His Majesty’s visit reflects strong brotherly relations between the two countries which have remarkable contributions at the regional and international arena.
He said that the two countries have contributed to resolving a number of crises at the regional and international level. He added that the relentless efforts of the Sultanate of Oman have contributed to resolving crises in the region.
He also pointed out to the keenness of the leaders of the two countries for boosting consultation and cooperation which makes their relation an example for the the Arab countries.
He said that the visit would provide the leaders of the two countries with the opportunity to exchange views on key regional and international issues.
Amroun Mohammed, Chairman of the Foreign Affairs, International Cooperation and Algerian Community Abroad Committee at the National People’s Assembly, said that the visit of His Majesty to Algeria comes within less than a year from the visit of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the Sultanate of Oman.
He said that the visit of His Majesty to Algeria reaffirms the success of the visit of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the Sultanate of Oman.
Journalist and researcher Ghadir Siham said that the visit of His Majesty to Algeria is a historic visit and the first of its type since 52 years.
She said that the relations between the two countries saw unprecedented developments represented by the exchanged commutations and visits between the officials from the two countries.
Faisal Sarai, Chief Editor of Algeria’s Al Youm newspaper said that the relations between the two countries saw the signing of many agreements in the field of energy among other fields.
Widad Al Hajj, editor in Chief of Al Wasat newspaper said that the visit of His Majesty is an opportunity for development of the relations between the two countries in the various fields.
Media figure, Abdulghani Khafash said that the relations between the two countries was established on mutual respect and common views on a number of key issues.
Other media persons spoke on the significance of the visit of Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune to the Sultanate of Oman and his accompanying delegation; the development and the security and stability in the Sultanate of Oman , the Sultanate’s foreign policy established on mutual respect and the horizons of development of the relations between the Sultanate of Oman and Algeria among other issues.
