New Delhi: Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) on Sunday took part in the 21st Franchise Exhibition held in New Delhi, Republic of India.
The Sultanate of Oman's delegation was headed by Eng. Hamoud Salim Al Saadi, Second Deputy Chairman of the OCCI Board of Directors, Chairman of the OCCI Commercial Excellence Centre. Eleven Omani trademarks participated in the event alongside the OCCI.
Oman’s participation in the expo reflects the country's keenness to explore franchising opportunities in the Indian market, consolidate international trade ties and encourage the Omani business brands to expand into new markets abroad, in line with the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, which underscores the importance of empowering the private sector and expanding its global presence through strategic partnerships and innovative, value-added projects.
Al Saadi pointed out that Oman’s participation in the New Delhi Franchise Exhibition was aimed to convert pioneering ideas into business models capable of expanding in global markets.
Al Saadi underlined the significance of franchising as one of the most practical models for enabling entrepreneurs to expand safely and in an organised manner. Franchising, he added, constitutes a pillar for the growth of an economy based on innovation and entrepreneurship.
Al Saadi said that India is one of the largest and fastest-growing markets in Asia. He explained that the Indian market represents an important gateway for Omani companies seeking expansion, notably within the context of the strong historical relations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of India and amid the scope of economic integration between the two countries.
