New York:The United Nations Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said that Israel has been preventing the entry of fuel into the Gaza Strip for more than 100 days, threatening a complete halt to humanitarian operations.
UNRWA on Tuesday said in a post on X that the health, water, food, and communications sectors are at risk due to the Israeli occupation's blockade of Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The Gaza Strip has been suffering a humanitarian catastrophe since Israel closed the crossings on 2 March 2025, preventing the entry of all supplies, including food, medicine, aid, and fuel, while its army escalates its genocide against Palestinians.
UNRWA stressed that humanitarian operations cannot be conducted without fuel, adding: "Without fuel, lives will be lost."
The UN agency emphasised the need to lift the Israeli blockade of the Gaza Strip.
