5th Oman HR Resources Forum discusses means of empowering national competencies, increasing productivity

Muscat: The 5th edition of Oman Human Resources Forum, titled "Mechanisms for Empowering National Competencies and Increasing Productivity", kicked off in Muscat on Thursday.

The forum discussed means of securing the future of Omani human resources amid rapid global developments. It looked into how to efficiently upgrade the competencies of Omani human resources as a strategic factor for achieving growth and sustainability.

The forum was held under the auspices of HH Sayyida Hujaija Jaifar Al Said.

The activities of the forum included two working papers. The first, titled "Leading Change for Empowerment", was presented by State Council member Abbas bin Ali Al Hameed, an expert in human resources development and change management.

The second working paper, titled "The Role of Knowledge Economy in Empowering Human Resources", was presented by Shamsa Hilal Al Hajri, an economic policy analyst at the Ministry of Economy.

The forum also included an interactive lab on empowering national cadres and augmenting productivity. The lab addressed the challenges posed to national work environments and elaborated on ways to devise practical solutions that would contribute to developing a model for an ideal work environment.

The lab also focused on exploring opportunities to integrate AI tools into everyday work systems and identifying the factors needed for transition in corporate culture, with the prime aim of ensuring readiness to merge into a rapidly changing digital future.

Organized by Al Roya newspaper, the forum also included a training workshop on augmenting productivity through the use of AI in workplaces. The workshop provided the participants with knowledge and application tools that would contribute to achieving the desired outcome by using smart solutions.
