Bidiya: The completion rate for the Bidiya Recreational Center project in North A’Sharqiyah Governorate has reached 55 percent, with a total cost of over OMR2 million. The project is being implemented to serve as a tourist, cultural, and recreational outlet at the heart of the governorate, which is well-known for hosting numerous events, particularly during the winter season.
Zubaida Salim Al Shidhani, Director of the Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Office and official spokesperson for North A’Sharqiyah Governorate, stated that the Bidiya Recreational Center project, with a cost of RO 2,547,139, is one of the most prominent projects currently being implemented by the governorate.
She added that it will be a unique addition to Oman's recreational projects. Its location in the Wilayat of Bidiya will enrich the tourism, cultural, social, and recreational sectors, given the wilayat's notable tourism, economic, and recreational features. She explained that the center will help energize the winter season events in the wilayat, which runs from October to March each year.
The North A’Sharqiyah Governorate is implementing a number of developmental and improvement projects this year across its wilayats. These projects, with a total cost of over RO 40 million, cover various sectors, including internal roads, parks, gardens, recreational facilities, walkways, children's playgrounds, tourist centers, and the construction of multi-purpose halls, among other service and development projects.
