ROP arrests fugitive, hands him over to UAE

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police on Saturday arrested and handed over to the United Arab Emirates officials a suspect accused of robbing a family in the Emirates.

In a joint security operation, the National Central Bureaus of the Royal Oman Police and the Ministry of Interior of the United Arab Emirates, the Directorate General of Inquiries and Criminal Investigation, apprehended a fugitive and handed him over to the UAE authorities.

The suspect was wanted by the United Arab Emirates authorities for breaking into a family's residence, assaulting its members with a white weapon, robbing them of gold jewellery, and then fleeing to the Sultanate of Oman.
