Salalah: The deliberations of the first Governmental Rehabilitation Centers Forum for Persons with Disabilities, organized by the Ministry of Social Development in Dhofar Governorate, were inaugurated today.
The forum, held under the patronage of Dr. Laila Ahmed Al Najjar, Minister of Social Development, aims to enhance the quality of services and rehabilitation programs across various government centers in the Sultanate of Oman. It also seeks to strengthen the role of persons with disabilities, empower them to achieve comprehensive inclusion, and open new pathways for rehabilitation, training, and employment.
Additionally, the two-day forum aims to familiarize institutions with the latest developments in this sector and facilitate the exchange of expertise.
The opening ceremony program included a visual presentation titled "My Right is Guaranteed". Moreover, a set of working papers were presented, addressing recent developments in the field of disability and rehabilitation, alongside an accompanying exhibition showcasing products made by persons with disabilities.
