Oman highlights development of  its civil aviation sector in Montreal

Montreal: Represented by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the Sultanate of Oman is taking part in an exhibition held on the sidelines of the 42nd General Assembly of the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) in Montreal, Canada. The ICAO event runs from 23 September to 3 October 2025.

Alongside the CAA, Oman is being represented at the exhibition by the Royal Oman Police (ROP)’s Directorate General of Airport Security, Oman Airports Company, Oman Air and Salam Air.

Oman’s participation in the event highlights the development of its civil aviation sector and outlines its achievements in the areas of aviation security and safety, in addition to environmental sustainability and national projects and initiatives that contribute to the development of the sector in accordance with approved international standards.

The exhibition also offers an opportunity to enhance the Sultanate of Oman’s active presence in international forums, consolidate its position as a strong contributor to the development of civil aviation policies at the global level and affirm its commitment to implement relevant international standards and agreements.

In addition, the event showcases Oman’s initiatives in the field of environmental sustainability and the reduction of carbon emissions.

 It also aims to exchange expertise and study steps to join international initiatives in support of security, safety and sustainability of the aviation sector.
