Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) has opened a dedicated emergency passport renewal counter at Muscat International Airport to assist citizens facing urgent travel situations.
The new facility will handle renewal requests for passports with less than six months of validity left, provided travellers present a confirmed air ticket at the time of application. Tentative bookings or reservations will not be accepted.
According to officials, the initiative aims to ease last-minute travel hurdles and ensure smoother passenger movement, particularly for Omanis who discover passport validity issues shortly before departure.
