Muscat: Sayyid Badr bin Hamad Al Busaidi, Foreign Minister, received today at his office Dr. Abdullatif bin Rashid Al Zayani, Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain, who is on an official visit to the Sultanate of Oman.
During the meeting, they reviewed the firm fraternal relations between the two countries and affirmed the mutual keenness to enhance existing cooperation in various fields to serve mutual interests.
The two Ministers discussed the ongoing preparations for the convening of the 46th session of the Supreme Council of the GCC, which will be hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain on 3 December. They stressed the importance of continuing to coordinate efforts to achieve the goals of joint Gulf action.
Both sides exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common concern and affirmed support for efforts aimed at enhancing security and stability in the region.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Ahmed bin Hashil Al Maskari, Head of the GCC and Regional Dialogue Department at the Foreign Ministry, Dr. Juma Ahmed Al Kaabi, Ambassador of the Kingdom of Bahrain to the Sultanate of Oman, and a number of officials from both sides.
