Muscat: In a coordinated operation following surveillance and tracking efforts, the Directorate General for Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control has arrested three Asian nationals involved in drug trafficking activities.
The suspects, who had entered Oman from Al Buraimi Governorate, were apprehended while retrieving quantities of crystal meth and hashish from a beach in the Wilayat of Qurayyat. Investigations revealed that the operation was carried out in coordination with an international drug trafficking network, which had arranged for the narcotics to be smuggled and concealed along the coastline.
Authorities confirmed that legal procedures are underway against the individuals, and reiterated their commitment to combating drug-related crimes and protecting public safety.
