
Muscat: The Education, Training and Innovation Committee at the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI) discussed preparations for hosting the ISPIM Muscat 2026 Conference, in cooperation with the global International Society for Professional Innovation Management (ISPIM), during its recent meeting. The meeting was chaired by Sheikh Al Qassim bin Mohammed Al Harthi, Chairman of the Committee, and attended by a number of committee members.
The conference is considered one of the world’s leading events specializing in innovation management, bringing together experts, researchers and leaders from various sectors representing more than 50 countries. The meeting underscored the importance of the conference as a platform for exchanging best practices and experiences, showcasing future-oriented solutions that enhance institutional capabilities and competitiveness, as well as its role as an international forum for building partnerships and empowering professionals in the fields of innovation and development.
The Committee also discussed a number of topics related to the development of the education and innovation sector in the Sultanate of Oman, including a review of joint efforts with relevant government and private-sector entities supporting the sector. These discussions included preparations for a meeting with private schools, scheduled to be held in January 2026, aimed at addressing key challenges facing private schools, exploring supportive proposals to improve the educational working environment, and enhancing the quality of educational services provided.
In addition, the Committee held a joint meeting with the Foreign Investment Committee at OCCI, during which views were exchanged on available opportunities in the education and training sector, as well as mechanisms for attracting more high-quality investments that support the development of education in the Sultanate of Oman.
