ROP detains driver for attempting to cross flooded wadi in Musandam

Muscat: The Royal Oman Police (ROP) in Musandam Governorate have apprehended a driver following a life-threatening incident in the Wilayat of Khasab. The motorist attempted to cross a flooded wadi despite high water levels, resulting in his vehicle being swept away by the powerful current.

Fortunately, the driver was successfully rescued through the swift intervention of teams from the Civil Defence and Ambulance Authority (CDAA).

This incident occurred during a period of sustained heavy rainfall affecting the northern governorates of the Sultanate. The current weather pattern has brought:
