
A’Rustaq: The Directorate General of Education in South Al Batinah Governorate on Sunday organised a symposium titled “Investing in a Safe Educational Environment”.
The symposium was held under the auspices of Dr. Abdullah bin Khamis Ambusaidi, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Education.
The symposium aimed to meet a number of objectives: Raise public awareness the importance of early childhood education and its role in shaping personality and developing cognitive skills and moral capacities; Provide KG managers and teachers with the latest educational practices and facilitate the exchange of expertise among specialists and educators; Support partnerships between the Ministry of Education and private schools and contribution to the realization of sustainable educational development in line with Oman Vision 2040.
The symposium included a visual presentation about the concept of early education and its salient features, in addition to a number of specialized working papers.
The event saw the launch of a “Private Schools Guide” that serves as a reference to unifying educational and administrative practices and enhancing the commitment of private schools to approved standards and regulations.
A prize titled “Performance Excellence Award in Private Schools” was also launched during the ceremony. The award aims to foster a culture of positive competition and innovation and raise the standard of institutional performance.
