
Muscat: The National Committee for Emergency Management (NCEM) today held a meeting under the chairmanship of the Inspector General of Police and Customs, Chairman of the NCEM.
The meeting reviewed the tasks of the NCEM and ways to develop them. It also discussed topics related to enhancing the efficiency and readiness of the committee's sectors.
The Inspector General of Police and Customs commended the level of coordination and integration among the authorities concerned. He hailed the high level of readiness of the NCEM and expressed his thanks to the committee’s members, panels and parties of relevance.
The Chairman of the Committee also valued the growing positive public trend of engagement and cooperation with the committee's sectors. He pointed out that such awareness constitutes a basic pillar in supporting the Emergency Management Scheme. He added that this directly contributes to the facilitation of the NCEM’s missions, the Optimization of response time and the realization of the highest levels of national preparedness and integration.
