Muscat: Building on the success of its previous development plan, Oman is set to create 300,000 new job opportunities under the 11th Five-Year Development Plan (2026–2030). This comes after the 10th Five-Year Plan, which generated 175,000 jobs across various sectors.
The new plan aims to provide employment in both the public and private sectors, with an average of 60,000 jobs expected each year throughout its five-year implementation period.
Officials say this initiative reflects the government’s ongoing commitment to economic diversification and sustainable development, in line with Oman Vision 2040, while strengthening national employment opportunities for citizens.
