Muscat: Statistical data for the tourism sector in the Sultanate of Oman showed a strong performance by the end of November 2025, with the number of guests in 3–5 star classified hotels increasing by 10.9 percent to 2,139,300 guests, compared to 1,929,495 guests during the same period in 2024.
According to figures released by the National Centre for Statistics and Information (NCSI), the number of Omani guests rose by 7 percent to 791,286, while guests from Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) countries increased by 7.4 percent to 195,825. Meanwhile, guests from other Arab countries declined slightly by 1.6 percent, reaching 94,098.
International tourism showed notable growth, with Asian guests increasing by 10 percent to 305,460, and African guests rising by 19.3 percent to 13,246. The number of visitors from Europe recorded a significant growth of 23 percent, reaching 574,243, while guests from the American continent increased by 29.5 percent to 69,697. Visitors from Oceania registered the highest growth rate at 35.5 percent, totaling 38,028 guests.
In terms of revenues, classified hotel revenues rose by 21.4 percent, reaching approximately RO 257.9 million by the end of November 2025, compared to RO 212.4 million during the same period in 2024. The hotel occupancy rate also improved, rising to 55.4 percent, up from 48.6 percent a year earlier.
These indicators reflect the continued positive performance and growing attractiveness of Oman’s hotel and tourism sector.
