Initiative provides 3,319 medical devices to over 2,220 beneficiaries in South Al Batinah

A’Rustaq: The "Sahhil Hayatahum" (Ease Their Lives) initiative, implemented by the Ihsan Association branch in South Al Batinah Governorate, has continued its humanitarian mission of supporting the elderly and individuals with disabilities. Between 2015 and 2025, the initiative focused on providing and distributing prosthetic and assistive medical devices to enhance the quality of life for its beneficiaries.

Statistical data shows that the initiative has reached a total of 2,251 beneficiaries across various wilayats in South Al Batinah, consisting of 1,135 females and 1,116 males. During this period, 3,319 medical devices were distributed to address diverse health and rehabilitation needs.

Mobility and movement aids topped the list of distributed equipment, including 760 wheelchairs, 700 medical beds, 140 walkers, 35 electric wheelchairs, and 30 crutches. The initiative also focused on respiratory support, providing 200 oxygen cylinders, 150 oxygen concentrators, and 106 phlegm suction units, in addition to CPAP and nebulizer machines. For home care and daily living, 315 air mattresses and 300 toilet chairs were distributed, along with shower chairs and commodes. Furthermore, diagnostic and hearing aids were provided, including 120 glucose monitors, 100 blood pressure monitors, 93 pulse oximeters, and 40 hearing aids.
