
Muscat: The Directorate of Narcotics and Psychotropic Substances Control of the Royal Oman Police, in coordination with the North Al Batinah Police Command, has arrested an individual of Asian nationality in the Wilayat of Sohar for possessing large quantities of narcotic substances.
According to authorities, the suspect was found in possession of significant amounts of marijuana and morphine, which were intended for trafficking. Legal procedures against the accused are currently underway.
In a separate operation, following an intensive surveillance and tracking effort, the General Directorate for Combating Drugs and Psychotropic Substances of the Royal Oman Police arrested another individual of Arab nationality in the Wilayat of Boshar, Muscat Governorate.
The second suspect was found in possession of crystal meth, marijuana, and psychotropic tablets, all allegedly intended for distribution. Legal measures are being completed in accordance with the law.
The Royal Oman Police reaffirmed their commitment to combating drug trafficking and protecting society from narcotics-related crimes.
