Oman urges media to rely solely on official sources amid regional developments

Muscat: The Ministry of Information has called on all media platforms, news accounts and social media users to align their publications with the national interest in light of the rapidly changing regional situation.

The ministry directed all parties to draw information solely from official sources, refrain from circulating rumours or unverified content, avoid using images or videos from unofficial sources, and eliminate all forms of sensationalism in coverage of current events.

It added that accuracy and restraint are imperative in media reporting during the current period.
