
Al Rustaq: Within the framework of its efforts to upgrade cooperation and explore partnership in developmental, economic and cultural fields, the Office of the Governor of South Al Batinah recently received a delegation from the People’s Republic of China.
The meeting was chaired by Eng. Masoud bin Said Al Hashmi, Governor of South Al Batinah. It discussed ways of establishing a twinning agreement between the Wilayat of Barka and the Chinese city of Hefei.
The meeting discussed proposed areas of cooperation, including the mutual activation of tourist destinations, promoting innovation, technology and digital transition, supporting cultural exchange, organizing joint art exhibitions, consolidating investment partnerships and boosting the process of economic development in a manner that serves the mutual interests of the two sides.
The meeting reflects the keenness of South Al Batinah Governorate to enhance its international relations and explore opportunities for cooperation and investment with friendly countries, in order to enhance the governorate’s global presence in the fields of tourism, economy and culture.
The meeting was attended by Sheikh Khalifa bin Saleh Al Busaidi, Wali of Nakhl, and Sheikh Abdussalam bin Sultan Al Shukili, Deputy Wali of Barka, officials, stakeholders and representatives of parties concerned.
