Missile strike kills Palestinian civilian in Abu Dhabi

A Palestinian civilian was killed on the outskirts of Abu Dhabi on Monday when a missile struck their car, authorities said.

The incident in the Al Bahia area comes as Iran presses on with strikes on countries in the Gulf following US-Israeli attacks.

"Authorities in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi responded to an incident in the Al Bahia area involving a missile strike on a civilian vehicle, which resulted in the death of one Palestinian national," the official Abu Dhabi Media Office said in a statement.

Dubai Airport resumes flights after drone attack

Flights at Dubai International Airport gradually resumed on Monday after a "drone-related incident" sparked a fire in a fuel tank near the airport and forced a temporary suspension of operations, authorities said.

"Flights to and from DXB are gradually resuming to selected destinations, following the temporary suspension implemented as a precautionary measure," Dubai Airports said in a statement on X.

Emirates airline said it expects to operate a limited schedule with some cancellations.

The official Dubai Media Office said the fuel tank fire had been contained and no injuries were reported.

Earlier, witnesses told AFP news agency that passengers awaiting their flights had to be evacuated to a lower floor for several hours after the attack.

Dubai police said the main road to the world's busiest airport for international flights had been temporarily closed to traffic.

The incident is the latest disruption linked to Iran's attacks across Gulf countries amid the ongoing US-Israel war against Iran.
