Citizen swept away by wadi in Khasab, body found

 Muscat: The search and rescue team has confirmed that a citizen lost her life after being swept away by strong wadi currents in Khasab.

According to authorities, the incident occurred amid heavy rainfall that led to intense flow in wadis across Musandam Governorate. Search and rescue teams launched immediate operations and were able to locate the victim, who was later found dead.

Officials have reiterated urgent warnings to the public to avoid crossing flooded wadis and low-lying areas during such weather conditions, emphasising the serious risks posed by fast-moving wadis.
