Abu Dhabi— Authorities in the United Arab Emirates have confirmed that one person was killed and four others injured after falling debris struck the Habshan gas facilities.
According to a statement by the Abu Dhabi Media Office, carried by the Emirates News Agency, the deceased was an Egyptian national who died during the evacuation process.
The incident also left four people with minor injuries, including two Pakistani nationals and two Egyptians.
Officials added that the situation involved two fires at the site, which were swiftly contained by emergency response teams. Authorities confirmed that the response was rapid and effective in bringing the situation under control.
The incident caused significant damage to the facility, and assessments are ongoing as authorities continue to evaluate the full extent of the damage and investigate the circumstances surrounding the event.
