Muscat : The Kuwaiti actress Hayat Al-Fahad passed away at the age of 78, after an artistic career that spanned more than fifty years. The popular actress died on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, following a brief illness.

The late actress, nicknamed "The Lady of the Gulf Screen," was one of the most prominent figures in the region's art scene, having presented dozens of distinguished works in television, theater, and cinema, contributing to the formation of a rich Gulf artistic memory.
Hayat Al-Fahad began her artistic career with the series "A'ilat Bu Jassoum" (The Bu Jassoum Family), before appearing on stage in the play "Al-Dahya" (The Victim), and then embarking on her first cinematic experience in the film "Bas Ya Bahar" (Enough, O Sea).
Throughout her career, she participated in prominent works alongside a selection of leading actors, including Abdulhussain Abdulredha, Saad Al-Faraj, Suad Abdullah, Ghanem Al-Saleh, Khaled Al-Nafisi, and Mohammed Al-Mansour, remaining one of the most important pillars of Gulf art.
