Oman raises its tally to 7 medals at the fourth Gulf Games

Doha: The Sultanate of Oman has raised its tally to seven medals within the competitions of the fourth Gulf Sports Games, currently taking place in the Qatari capital, Doha, and continuing until the 22nd of this month.

This milestone comes after securing the country's first two gold medals of the tournament in taekwondo and fencing. Athlete Fidaa Fuad Al Barwani captured the first gold medal for the Sultanate of Oman after winning the women's 49 kg taekwondo competitions, delivering an outstanding performance that earned her a spot on the podium.

The second gold medal was claimed by athlete Israa Saif Al Siyabi, who shined in the epee fencing competitions.

Also in taekwondo, athlete Mohammed Rashid Al Hajri secured a bronze medal in the 80 kg weight class, while athlete Shabib Salem Al Sinani earned a bronze medal in the 68 kg category.

Furthermore, athlete Ali Al Busaidi added another bronze medal in the foil fencing competitions.

With these results, the Sultanate of Oman has increased its overall medal count in the Games to seven, comprising two gold and five bronze medals.
